dupont sabine river works laboratory building
orange, texas

New one-story 30,000sf concrete tilt-wall building to consolidate lab spaces at an existing polyethylene plant. Laboratory spaces – water, chemist, ethylene, additives, flame, MI, film – required careful coordination of each one’s unique functional programmatic requirements and service requirements along with utilizing a mix of old and new casework and equipment. Developed document set from the Owner-provided schematic design bridging documents. A full BIM coordination model – with components modeled by the actual subcontractors performing the work -was continuously updated throughout the documentation phase in order to expedite delivery schedule and anticipate field coordination issues.
